• There is a 1,000 word minimum for a complete work in English, but no maximum. Treats can be any length, but must be complete and in English. Fanart is also accepted in this exchange, and the minimum requirement is clean lineart on unlined paper.
• Can nom 10 fandoms, 20 characters, and 20 freeform tags
• 3-10 offers and 3-10 requests for fandoms, 20 character requests for each, and 20 freeform tags with another 20 additional tags
• Freeform tags can be anything, but I will combine similar ones or ask for clarification about wording on occasion and will not nom until better wording is found, so check the com frequently if you’ve nommed something fairly wordy
• Kid is defined as anyone 15 or younger for this exchange
• Nomming characters, using Steve Rogers and various MCU characters as an example
  • If it’s for a character to have a child, but the other parent doesn’t matter, nom “Steve Rogers & Child(ren)”
  • If it’s for a couple or moresome to have a child, nom “Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov & Child(ren)”
  • If it’s for a character to have a child and then meet someone, nom “Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov & Steve’s Child(ren)” or “Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov & Both’s Child(ren)”
  • If it’s for a character and to be centered around their childhood, nom “Character: Steve Rogers & None (Childhood),” “Steve Rogers & Sarah Rogers (Steve’s Childhood),” or “Steve Rogers & Bucky Barnes (Both Childhood)”
  • If it’s for a character that has been de-aged, nom “Character: Steve Rogers & None (Deaged),” “Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov (Steve Deaged),” “Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov & Thor (Steve and Natasha Deaged),” and so on
  • If it’s for a character to be adopted by another character, but NOT a deaging fic, nom “Steve Rogers & Peter Parker (Peter Adopted)”
  • If it's for a character to be raising another character that's not their child, but NOT a deaging and NOT an adoption, nom "Steve Rogers & Loki (Loki raising Steve)
  • If it’s for a character to find out they’re the biological child of another character or an OC, nom “Steve Rogers & Hela (Hela is Steve’s mother),” “Steve Rogers/Peggy Carter & Jemma Simmons (Steve & Peggy are Jemma’s parents),” or “Steve Rogers & Greek God (Greek God is Steve’s parent)
• Art is allowed, as is RPF and Origfic. RPF is allowed however with people who are over eighteen and using FICTIONAL children, unless the RPF is historical. (RPF noms will be removed if the individual in question contacts me, and they will not be used in the exchange.)
• Crossovers are allowed, please just use the guidelines above to nominate, and after the character’s name, note the original fandom
  
  
   

• Concerning the MCU: All movies are considered MCU and will not be separated into the franchises; Netflix shows are considered Marvel Netflix and will not be separated into the franchises; Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Runaways, and Cloak & Dagger considered their own shows. Relationships featuring one character who appeared in the movies and one character who appeared in a show should be under the larger MCU banner. Relationships featuring one character from one show and one character from another show will also be under the larger MCU banner.

Netflix shows are considered Marvel Netflix

AO3 doesn't recognise this as its own fandom and the interface will change Marvel Netflix, Netflix Marvel, or Marvel TV into Marvel Cinematic Universe. For possible solutions I've seen everything get grouped under The Defenders, and I've seen the mods change the noms back behind the scenes (but each new nom after this is done will present the problem again).

How would you like nominations to be phrased for a character raising their canonical biological child who they didn't raise in canon?

or

Darth Vader & Luke Skywalker (Vader raising Luke)

Not mod, but the latter sounds more specific and imo the better option, while I wonder if there's a chance that the earlier could be interpreted as adopted Luke wondering about his real father and/or Vader thinking about his lost son.

Non-Canon as in OC? I would say "X & OC Child(ren) (X Adopts/Raises OC Child(ren))

Hey mod, I nommed Tilda Johnson & Child(ren) under Marvel Netflix before I read the thing about Ao3 not liking that, so the nom got put in under MCU. Could you move that to The Defenders for me? Or just reject it and I'll re-nom under the correct fandom.

I'm confused--in the "character raises" option, does this mean that the character they are raising is their biological child in whichever AU they're raising the character in? Or is it just that they didn't adopt them, so if the character is, say, a foster child or a feral child that they took in, that's still "character raises"?

(In the situation that the child character is a canon character, just younger.)

It just means they didn't adopt them! If they were the bio child it would be this rule:

The AO3 profile still states Aug 31 is the due date.
